Or never been to Wood Street Indoor Market?

Come along to an exciting Valentinesy day of fun in the Market, on
Saturday February 11th, 10am to 5.30pm.

This is the result of a 3-month-long competition process and so we are really excited to finally open the doors on our new tenants.

There'll be all your favourite antiques and records shops, AND the *GRAND
LAUNCH* of our 21 BRAND-NEW shops!

Our new shops include a Florist (just in time for Valentine
s!), an Artisan Bakery, a new Coffee Shop, a Film-Makers-Shop, vintage clothes, accessories and poster shops. There will also be new spaces run by Craft Guerilla, Significant Seams, exhibitions by E17 Designers and the Waltham Forest Arts Club. As well as arty happenings by The Pink Bear Club and the Wood Street Picture Palace.

For those last minute Valentines gifts, there will be a host of new shops including new crafts and gift shops. Strange Fruit greeting-card makers will even send the Valentines Card for you!

With plenty of exciting launch events, including live mural pa
inting by Animaux Circus (thanks to them for designing the poster!), and lots of special offers, it will be a great day to visit the Market, so hope to see you there!

See the
Facebook event page and the the full list of new shops on the Wood Street blog.

This coming Thursday night is also the Private View of the 'sap studios collective exhibition', 6-8pm at St Johns Arc Gallery in Old Harlow.

The exhibiting collection is from the staff and workers of Sap Studios, at the Snaresbrook Arts Project. The Project is an arts project which employs adults with learning difficulties who make and sell art and craft items. This exhibition is a chance for the staff at the Project to exhibit their artistic talents along side work from the artists at the studios. It's a wide mix of work from photography, painting, textiles and print so hopefully something for everyone.

The exhibition runs until 17th February.

Upcoming local events....

From all of the E17 Designers we want to say a huge thanks to everyone who came along to the Christmas Fairs to support us. The weekend was buzzing and busy, we had nearly 800 people over the two days, thanks to the mulled wine and live music (we're still not sure who was the loudest either the two-man band on Friday or the 30 strong choir on Saturday!)

Some great local events:

Firstly tomorrow The Mill have a table top sale, i'm not sure if there are any tables left but another chance to get some more christmas pressies.

Next week end, for all of those Cabaraokees out there the next evening of fun and merriment, brought to you by the fabulously talented Helen Fuchs, is the Christmas Vintage Cabaroke.

Tickets are already going so be quick as you really don't want to miss out on their birthday party I am sure. They are available here http://www.wegottickets.com/event/145100

For those of you who can't make it don't worry as they have lots of ideas to bring to fruition over the next year including: first foray into the wonderful world of the web, more special themed nights and of course, if you want to have a night all to yourself, you can book Vintage Cabaraoke for your private/corporate function.
Another great night of entertainment is the next world music night at the Walthamstow Cricket club on the 17th December.
