About the gallery:
The Gallery underwent a major redevelopment during 2011-12. The project was led by Waltham Forest Council, which owns and manages the Gallery, and was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Friends of the William Morris Gallery and numerous charitable trusts, sponsors and individual donors.
The historic house was fully refurbished, with new collection displays being created on the ground and first floors. The top floor was turned into a learning and research centre, with staff offices being relocated to the refurbished basement. A new extension was built on the site of the old east wing, housing a tea room, a special exhibition gallery and a collection store.

Godiva creates motion........

Lady Godiva is coming to Walthamstow! As part of the Olympic celebrations a ten-metre high Lady Godiva puppet, set astride a horse powered by 100 cyclists, will make its way from Coventry to London. When she comes to Walthamstow her final destination will be the Town Hall and you can get the very chance to help Studio 3 Arts make-over the building. Thanks to all....

who came along to our Spring Fair and made it another enjoyable evening. As you can see from the photos below, there were some great designers showcasing their work. With a host of new designers and new work from established designers showing us their amazing handcrafted talents.

Local ceilidh band, The Stowicks were playing on the night with their beautiful and relaxing folk music. Also taking the stage was Jerome Anderson and his dance partner showing us their Jive and Lindy Hop moves, in a fast and fun packed performance. Jerome's world of swing is a six week introduction to jive course taking place at x7eaven studios on the Lea Bridge Road, the routines looked amazing and strangely achievable so if you're interested then go to www.jeromelanderson.com or call on 07931 507760.

Can't wait for the next event.....
