Gifts of pleasure from prints and precious gems, to corsages and customised cufflinks...for menfolk and ladies!

February 9th 2013 10-5pm
William Morris Gallery
Lloyd Park Forest Road, Walthamstow, London
E17 4PP
About the gallery:
The Gallery underwent a major redevelopment during 2011-12. The project was led by Waltham Forest Council, which owns and manages the Gallery, and was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Friends of the William Morris Gallery and numerous charitable trusts, sponsors and individual donors.
The historic house was fully refurbished, with new collection displays being created on the ground and first floors. The top floor was turned into a learning and research centre, with staff offices being relocated to the refurbished basement. A new extension was built on the site of the old east wing, housing a tea room, a special exhibition gallery and a collection store.

Quick thanks....

to everyone who turned up on Friday night to support the E17 Designers. We also want to say a big thanks to The Stowicks for supplying great music on the night.

In the first hour 146 people came, who had never been to an E17
Designers event before.

We had some great comments from visitors:

"I have been to the art and craft events at Lauderdale House
(Highgate) and the quality of design and making here is much better.."

"The designers have all upped their game in terms of presentation-
every stall looks great"

"The website is a great tool, all the images look lovely and it means
that they can be seen not just at events....it makes me want to come
again and again to see who is here."

"I have been coming for three years and this is the best selection
ever-"

"It's such lovely work-does everyone make a living doing this?"

I could just about get to some of the stalls to show you more of the great work being produced and the cakes had almost run out by the time I got there but here's some pics to show you what you missed out on…

Huge thanks.....

to everyone who came to support the E17 Designers at the Christmas markets on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th. What was possibly the coldest week end in November, which led to a mountain of snow across the country, you managed to drag yourselves away from the cosey warmth of your homes to support us.

It seems like a great time was had by all and as the event was held over 2 days it was less hectic than usual meaning everyone had a chance to look at all the great handmade items on offer on the stalls.

Many people were hanging around enjoying the atmosphere and music.
Here are some pics from Friday night to show you what you missed out on.
